Delicious Holiday Buzz
Posted by Phuong on Nov 14th, 2008

I was hanging out with my girlfriends last week and one of them suggested a holiday tea party. We're definitely not the traditional Victorian tea drinking girls so I needed to come up with something creative and fun. I figure I'll give a brief tea class before the party and then it's martini shaking time! Here are some delicious drinks I came up with:

Candy Cane Martini

Get your antioxidants and your buzz on with this perfect holiday treat!

      • Simple syrup : equal parts of hot water and white sugar. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is cooled before using. This can be stored in the refrigerator for weeks.
*Infuse a bottle of vodka with 1/8 cup of Koni Creme Earl Grey for 4-6 hours or overnight.

    Directions:

    1. Dip the rim of the martini glass in simple syrup and then into the crushed candy cane.
    2. Combine the vodka infused with tea, white creme de cacao, and peppermint schnapps in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
    3. Shake vigorously and strain into the rimmed martini glass. Garnish with a candy cane. Yum!
