I was hanging out with my girlfriends last week and one of them suggested a holiday tea party. We're definitely not the traditional Victorian tea drinking girls so I needed to come up with something creative and fun. I figure I'll give a brief tea class before the party and then it's martini shaking time! Here are some delicious drinks I came up with: Candy Cane Martini Get your antioxidants and your buzz on with this perfect holiday treat! Ingredients:
Directions: 1. Dip the rim of the martini glass in simple syrup and then into the crushed candy cane. 2. Combine the vodka infused with tea, white creme de cacao, and peppermint schnapps in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. 3. Shake vigorously and strain into the rimmed martini glass. Garnish with a candy cane. Yum! Aphrodisiac Chai Martini Chai and apple - Can you think of a better fall/winter pairing? Get swept off your feet with this enchanting blend of Chai black tea, rose petals, lavender, and jasmine buds. Ingredients: * Infuse a bottle of vodka with 1/8 cup of Koni Aphrodisiac Chai Black Tea for 4-6 hours or overnight. In a cocktail shaker full of ice, combine the apple juice, Aphrodisiac vodka and vanilla liqueur. Shake vigorously then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of Granny Smith apple. Love it! Koni Italian Love Affair Martini Seduce your taste buds with my sexy remake of the traditional tiramisu martini. Serve your loved one a biscotti dipped in this tantalizing drink. Ingredients: * Use 1 tsp of mate toscana tea to brew 3 ounces of mate toscana. Infuse the tea for 15 min. Chill. * Simple syrup : equal parts of hot water and white sugar. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is cooled before using. This can be stored in the refrigerator for weeks. Directions: 1. Dip the rim of the martini glass in simple syrup. Then dip the rim in your plate of chocolate shavings. 2. Combine the kalua and chilled mate toscana in the martini glass. 3. Combine the vodka, white creme de cacao, light cream, simple syrup in a martini shaker filled with ice. 4. Shake vigorously and carefully strain into the rimmed martini glass. This will create a layer on top of the mate toscana layer. 5. Garnish with a slice of strawberry. Voila! Tea-quila Time Who would have thought you could have this much fun with tea. This delightfully refreshing cocktail perfectly pairs the antioxidant powers and grapefruit flavor of Koni Super Man Green Teawith tequila. Ingredients: * Use 1 tsp of tee time tea to brew 3 ounces of tee time. Infuse the tea for 15 min. Chill. Directions: Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Shake heavily and strain into a glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with an orange peel and festive decoration. Enjoy! |
