Antioxidant Rich Tiramisu
Posted by Phuong on Aug 2nd, 2010

Here is the delicious Tea-ramisu recipe I made tonight! I also made my own ladyfingers but you can easily buy them at your local bakery.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 recipe Ladyfingers batter. You should get (2) 16 x 12 sheets.
  • 2 cups of strong Mate Toscana (4 T of Mate Toscana tea brewed for 20 minutes with 2 cups of boiling water, then filter the leaves)
  • 1 recipe Mascarpone Filling
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

    Directions:

    1. Line a 16 x 12 inch pan with a layer of the cooled ladyfingers. Soak the first layer with the strong Mate Toscana. Spread half of the mascarpone filling on top. Sift cocoa powder over the filling.
    2. Top with the second 16 x 12 ladyfingers sheet. Soak the second layer with the strong Mate Toscana. Spread the remaining mascarpone filling on top. Cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or, preferably, overnight.

    3. Sift cocoa powder over the sheet and serve with a cup of your favorite Koni tea. I prefer Koni Caramel Slender, Koni Creme Earl Grey , or Koni Slim it Sencha. with my tiramisu.
