This grilled fish salad accompanies Day 1 of the Koni 3 day detox with healthy food blog.

I don't eat red meat and rarely eat chicken so I had 4 ounces of grilled mahi mahi for my source of protein. A fish is considered lean when its flesh contains less than 2% of fat, making it the perfect item maximum flavour to a healthy diet!

Spinach, spring mix, mustard greens, and other dark leafy greens are good sources of fibre and powerhouses of nutrition. Research demonstrates that their high concentration of vitamins and antioxidants helps prevent hunger while protecting you from heart disease, cancer, cataracts, and memory loss.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces mahi mahi seasoned with salt and pepper
  • Mesclun salad with arugula and spinach
  • Roasted bell peppers

    Directions:

Grill fish until it flakes easily when tested with a fork, for 4 to 6 minutes per 1/2-inch thickness of fish, turning once halfway through grilling.

Enjoy with 2 cups of Koni Holy Detox or Throat Revival Tea.
