Day 2 Detox Breakfast: Blueberry Tea Smoothie

This blueberry tea smoothie accompanies Day2 of the Koni 3 day detox with healthy food.

Blueberries are an amazing fruit! Not only are they virtually fat free but also a great source of fiber. This superfruit is very high in antioxidants and ranked among 40 fruits, vegetables, and juices as the best detox fruit! In addition to blueberries, flax seed is also a great source of fiber.

Lemon juice is very important in this smoothie because it helps to increase bile flow and will assist the liver in breaking down excess fat.


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup soft tofu
  • 1 cup of frozen blueberries
  • 1 banana very chilled
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1 cup of Koni Holy Detox tea brewed and chilled. Make sure you use 2 tsp for 8 oz of water for this brew.
  • 1 teaspoon flax seed meal


    Directions:

    1. Place all the ingredients in a blender, and mix on high speed for 30 seconds
    2. Pour into a glass, garnish with berries and a mint leaf and serve.
