Replenish Protein Smoothie

To rev-up on energy, maintain muscle strength and repair body cells, it is very important to refill your gas tank immediately after exercise. When you sweat, you lose water, and potassium and magnesium electrolyte ions which help cells retain fluid. That's why I always hydrate with Koni Replenish Rooibos Tea during my workout. This delicious lemon strawberry caffeine free tea is packed with vitamins and minerals, such as zinc, copper, calcium, manganese, magnesium, and potassium. After my workout, I always like to replenish with a protein shake or smoothie. This is the best time to get protein into your body to begin healing the small tears in the muscle tissue. Here is a recipe for one of my favorite smoothies packed with spinach, tropical fruit, protein, and antioxidant rich Koni Tea.

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups of Koni Replenish Rooibos Tea (brewed and cooled)
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 cup of mango chunks
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1/2 cup of blueberries
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein

Directions:

Combine everything in the blender, including the chilled, brewed rooibos tea, and puree until smooth.
