On a cold fall night, one of my favorite drinks to make is a hot toddy. Popular belief holds that this drink will help cure a cold and get you to fall asleep. The fact is, it will make it worse in the long run. The alcohol in a hot toddy will help you fall asleep but it will decrease your immune system and interfere with your sleep cycle.
