3 Day Detox With Healthy Food: Day 3

Yay! Today is the last day of my 3 day cleanse. I feel so much lighter and healthier and I can even see my stomach getting flatter. Today I made sure I drank a lot of Koni Herbal Teas, such as Kapha, Holy Detox, and Throat Revival.

It hasn't been so bad with this 3 day cleanse because I'm still eating healthy food and working out. Most people eat way too much which is really hard on the liver and kidneys. This healthy 3 day detox still allows you to eat and drink your Koni Teas, so your blood sugar will stay steady and your energy high. You won't feel exhausted, cranky, or constantly hungry.

Upon waking up - drink 2 glasses of Koni Holy Detox with one lemon squeezed. This will flush bad stuff through your stool, urine, and sweat. Lemon juice at the start of the day detoxifies the body and improves metabolism. Tulsi basil, the main ingredient found in Koni Holy Detox, is a powerful herb that purifies the blood and detoxifies the body.

  • 1 cup of sliced peaches
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh ginger

  • 2 cups of coconut milk or almond milk
  • 3 cups of brewed Koni Slimming Goddess Oolong Tea, chilled

    Directions:

    Combine all ingredients in a blender.

    Lunch - Quinoa with cilantro and black bean and 2 cups of Koni Holy Detox Herbal Tea.

    Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of cooked black beans
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 cup of chickpeas
  • 1 medium tomato chopped
  • 1/2 cup of corn
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Diced baby red onion
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

    Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients and stir well.
  • Chill before serving.
  • Enjoy with 2 cups of Koni Holy Detox Herbal Tea.

    Workout - walked an hour on the treadmill with an incline of 4-6. The major benefit of incline walking is that forces your lungs to use more oxygen. This happens because of the large oxygen shortfall that incline walking creates. The heavier you are breathing, the faster your heart rate and the better it is for losing weight. I already noticed my stomach getting flatter on day 3. After my workout, I replenished with 2 cups of Koni Throat Revival. The fennel and licorice root in this tea helps to further promote detoxification.

    Dinner - Fish tacos with 2 cups of Koni Holy Detox Herbal Teas.

    This recipe is super light and easy to make.

    Avocado Salsa:

  • 1 avocado, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes diced
  • 1/2 jalapeno, seeded and diced
  • 1/4 onion
  • Juice of 1 lime, zest of 1/2 lime
  • Mix ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate

    Fish:

  • About 2-3 pounds white fish (I used tilapia.)
  • Season with salt and pepper
  • Squeeze juice from 1/2 lime over fish
  • Broil or grill on low to medium heat for 6-8 minutes (Don't over do it or your fish will be tough.)
  • Cut into small chunks


    Making the taco:

    Heat the tacos in a 300 F degree oven for 5 minutes. Place about 2-3 ounces of fish in the middle of the taco. Top with 2 tablespoons of salsa, lettuce, and dairy-free vegan ricotta cheese. Enjoy with 2 cups of Koni Holy Detox Herbal Tea.

    Before Bed - 2 cups of Koni Throat Revival Tea with lemon. The fennel and licorice root in this herbal tea help to detoxify the liver.

    Detoxifying the liver can help promote weight loss because one of the liver's main functions is to break down fats and eliminate excess fats in the bile through the small intestine. When the liver is overloaded, as can happen when we are exposed to too much toxicity in our diets, this function can be impaired. With help to do its job better, the liver becomes more efficient at breaking down fats again, and we lose excess fat.
