3 Day Detox With Food – Day 3

October 12th, 2011 by admin

Yay! Today is the last day of my 3 day cleanse. I feel so much lighter and healthier and I can even see my stomach getting flatter. Today I made sure I drank a lot of Koni Herbal Teas, such as Kapha, Holy Detox, and Throat Revival.

It hasn’t been so bad with this 3 day cleanse because I’m still eating healthy food and working out. Most people eat way too much which is really hard on the liver and kidneys. This healthy 3 day detox still allows you to eat and drink your Koni Teas, so ytour blood sugar will stay steady and your energy high. You won’t feel exhausted, cranky, or constantly hungry.

Let’s get started with the last day of my 3 day detox. If you missed Day 1 of my detox, click here. If you missed day 2, click here.

2 Koni Double Wall mugs of Holy Detox

2 Koni Double Wall mugs of Holy Detox

Day 1: Upon waking up – drink 2 glasses of Koni Holy Detox with one lemon squeezed. This will flush bad stuff through your stool, urine, and sweat. Lemon juice at the start of the day detoxifies the body and improves metabolism. Tulsi basil, the main ingredient found in Koni Holy Detox, is a powerful herb that purifies the blood and detoxifies the body.

Day 1: Breakfast – Koni Slimming Goddess smoothie with papaya and strawberries.

The abundance of polyphenols found in Slimming Goddess Oolong Tea is effective in controlling obesity. They help activate thermogenesis which increases fat oxidation in the body.

Papaya and strawberries are must-eat fruits for weight loss and detoxifying. They pack significant amounts of fiber into each serving. 1 cup of strawberries has only 50 calories, but you get 3 grams of fiber out of them which accounts for 12% of your daily fiber need. 1 cup of papaya has only 55 calories and 3 grams of fiber. Papaya also has papain, a unique natural enzyme that speeds up weight loss.

2 Cups of sliced papaya
1/2 Cup of frozen strawberries
1 Cup of sliced peaches
2 Tsps of fresh ginger
2 Tsps of ground flaxseed
4 Mint leaves
2 Cups of coconut milk or almond milk
3 Cups of brewed Koni Slimming Goddess Oolong Tea, chilled

Combine all ingredients in a blender.

Day 1: Lunch – Quinoa with cilantro and black bean and 2 cups of Koni Holy Detox Herbal Tea.

  • 1/2 cup of cooked black beans
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 cup of chickpeas
  • 1 medium tomato chopped
  • 1/2 cup of corn
  • chopped cilantro
  • diced baby red onion
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • sea salt and pepper to taste

  1. Combine all ingredients and stir well.
  2. Chill before serving.

– Both quinoa and black beans are packed with nutrients that will help you feel satisfied and deeply nourished during your detox.Black beans and quinoa are both rich in protein, calcium and fiber. The high levels of dietary fiber they provide will help you maintain regular bowel movements as well as clearing your arteries and protecting you from heart disease. These high protein complex carbohydrates release their nutrients slowly, making this salad helpful in regulating blood sugar.

– Red onions, garlic, cilantro and limes each provide powerful cleansing effects for your body. Onions and garlic help strip fat from your cells. Cilantro cleanses your blood and removes heavy metal accumulation. And the lime juice will clear toxic accumulation from your liver while alkalizing your system.

Day 1: Mid-day snack – Fresh fruit salad  with 2 cups of Koni Holy Detox Herbal Tea.
